New York Flyers Band Biography -

New York Flyers were formed in 1975 in Syracuse, NY by Chris Tso and Phil Dalessandro.  A founding philosophy of the group was to always exceed the fans expectations with double the performance and production value.  NY Flyer opened in 1975 for the original Black Sabbath at a sold out show at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY. This pivotal show established the band in New York�s Capital district.  1980 to 1985 the band continued traveling up and down the East Coast, rotating markets, and building their fan base. Promoters take note and contract the band to play state fairs, war memorials, and live radio broadcasts of shows with Eddie Money, Marshall Tucker, Edgar Winter, and others. Original material becomes a larger component of the band�s focus.   The group retired from live performance in 1986 after having done over 2,000 shows.  They have reformed a number times in the years since 1987 for special event reunion concerts.
