Program Description:

    Plymouth Day Care Center has been located in the historical Plymouth Congregational Church in downtown Syracuse since 1970. The Center believes that children learn and develop through hands-on experiences. Our goal is to offer these types of activities for the children. Plymouth's staff guide and encourage learning by planning activities that are structured as well as non-structured. Activities are prepared based on what children already know and expanding on that knowledge base.
    Plymouth Day Care Center offers physical activities through our indoor gym space, as well as outdoor play areas. Field trips are also a part of our learning experiences provided for the children. The Center provides a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack daily in our kitchen by a qualified cook.
    The Center collaborates with the Syracuse City School District to provide a universal Pre-K program for all 4 year old children enrolled.
    We accept children between the ages of 18 months to 12 years. All children are enrolled regardless of race, creed, national origin, economic status, or handicap.

Parent Involvement:

Parents are encouraged to be involved in our program through many activities. We welcome parents to visit or help with planning classroom activities. We encourage parents to go along with their child on field trips. Parents can also join the Plymouth Board of Directors.

About Our Staff:

All of our teachers meet or exceed the NYS Children and Family Services regulations. Teachers attend various workshops and seminars frequently to enhance their knowledge of child development.
